6 Word Memoir 1:"I Stopped Eating To Be Beautiful"

Six Word Memoir: I Stopped Eating To Be Beautiful

Picture By: Cody Jarred Ashton Fletcher

Writers Note: I took this picture in my school’s cafeteria. I believe that the picture relates to this six word memoir because it shows the contrast of the memoir. The reason the picture ties into the the sic word memoir the note on the front side of the glass covering the food, yet the food is behind the note. The way I see  the memoir “I stopped eating to be beautiful” by having the food behind the glass it shows that the food is behind and distant where as the note is aspiring to be in front and what is important. The fact that the glass is able to slid is good to because to me it shows that it won’t always be that way all you have to do is open the glass and eat the food on the other side in a way the picture is quite beautiful because at first all you see is negativity in the begging  but as you analyze more there are ways to see hope in it as well.

Writing Reflection #1

My reaction to the assignments that we have been given this past week is good and bad because I enjoyed
some aspects of the assignment and hated other aspects of the assignment. I really enjoyed working with our WRN I think it is an interesting aspect for the class to express ourselves and our own creativity. I also enjoy that we are able to add personal additions into it because it leaves it open for me to do things that I enjoyed and make my WRN what I wanted to be an different than everybody else’s and gives it its own personality. I believe that within this week I excelled in the listography assignments I really had a fun time doing it. However there can be room for improvement on my doodling I didn't really enjoy the assignments we participated in, I’m not much of a doodler but I have a passion for writing and love to express myself that way because of this it made the doodling part was very stressful for me.

Reading Reflection #1

When reading the hunger games immediately you're brought into a whole new aspect of what you think the world is. It is completely different than what we know in the time were living. One comment I can make about the book so far is I enjoy that the plot is set in North America it is an interesting thought to me that in the future in such a country as north American there can be people struggling through hunger and fighting to stay alive day by day as there government sits back and enjoys all the pleasures of life it also leaves me with questions as to why North American has become the way it has is now run by a dictatorship. What happened to end all the goodness and will/can it be fixed? Within the first pages we are immediately introduced to the main character in the story which the young girl who is 16 the same as anyone my sixteen she seems normal like anyone her age would be. I like the part in the hunger games when Katniss volunteers for her sister's not going to the hunger games it shows that she truly loves her family and that she would do anything for them even if it means losing her whole life in the process which made me like her as a character. It also shows me she is strong which is also a contributing factor as to why i like her I look forward to reading more and getting further into the book as a plot thickens in to get taken on a roller coaster adventure through the ups and downs of the characters.
For the second doodle we did I’m class I choose my favourite bars/clubs I enjoy to go to. I had more fun with this assignment because it’s something I can relate to on a personal level and it’s something that I enjoy. Between the digital footprint and this assignment I would choose this one as the better of the two, I actually enjoyed doodling this where as I didn’t have as much fun with the digital footprint.
This wasn’t my favourite assignment I’m not much of a doodler. I was very willing to try a new form of creative writing but struggled to get through the assignment not understand really what it had to do with creative writing.  Upon though I do see why doodling is and is important to open your mind up to new forms of writing even though it doesn’t make much sense. I believe for my lack of drawing experience i was able to come up with a decent doodle that represents my small digital foot print.
